The Company
The Medivision Hospital (Formerly American Eye Center) started its operations in 1996 with specialized services in Excimer laser and Cataract Surgery through modern Phaco technique. It is a joint venture of American Healthcare International of USA and Medipak Pharma Ltd. of Pakistan. Directors of the company have vast experience in health care especially in eye care sector. American Health care is operation its centers in USA, Singapore and Pakistan.

The basic aim to establish this center is to provide specialized eye care facilities by using most modern diagnostic and surgical techniques to reduce patients fatigue and expanses by almost eliminating the need of long stay in hospitals. The center is using latest surgical techniques that ensure the discharge of patient on the day of surgery; however comfortable rooms are available for comprehensive surgeries where stay in the hospital is inevitable.

Eye Department

Refractive Surgery (Excimer Laser):

Excimer laser is a unique, gentle, ultra-violet based technology for the permanent treatment of poor distant vision (near-sightedness) and blurred vision (astigmatism) thus removing or greatly reducing use of spectacles and contact lenses. Treatment is suitable for the person over the age of 18 years. The center has the first and only VisX Excimer laser in Pakistan.

Green Lasers

Yag Laser:

Treatment of blurred vision after cataract surgery.

Argon Laser:

Treatment of harmful effects of diabetics on retina.

Cataract

Phaco-Emulsification:

Phaco is a modern ultrasound treatment for early stages cataract removal with the advantages of rapid vision rehabilitation, no hospital stay and suture less surgery. The center is equipped with most contemporary equipment including Legacy and Harmony Total Phaco machines.

E-Cap

This is the conventional method for cataract removal which is only used for the patients with extremely mature cataract. An artificial lens is then implanted to avoid the use of heavy glasses.
